Why can students do lessons that are not assigned to them?

Edited

Tynker student accounts are enabled to give students access to both Tynker for Schools accounts and Tynker for Home accounts in one place. They are also enabled to give students a vast set of resources to enhance student creativity and engagement. Some of the items that are present when they log in include:

  • Tynker for Home Courses: These can be separated out when the student picks an age range upon first log in, and they are then accessed by clicking the account switcher in the top right. If the student is using the Classic Dashboard, these choices will appear directly in their dashboard as Home and School are combined. If they have chose the Home side, they will need parental permission to access those courses.

  • Tynker DIY Projects: Students do have access to the Create Project button which includes Tynker DIY project templates for students to create with.

  • Tynker Hour of Code The Tynker Hour of Code is preassigned to classes. I tcan be unassigned by clicking the three dots in the top right corner of the Hour of Code course card on the course page.
