Hour of Code

The Tynker Hour of Code offers a collection of free, engaging coding activities designed to introduce students to computer science in just one hour. Aligned with the global Hour of Code initiative, Tynker offers game-based puzzles, creative projects, and STEM simulations in a classroom-friendly format that's easy for teachers to implement.

In addition to activities, the Teacher Resource page offers detailed activity guides that provide step-by-step instructions for implementing Hour of Code in the classroom.

Getting Started

  1. Create/Log in to your Teacher account

  2. Add/Choose a classroom with student accounts

  3. Assign the Elementary, Middle, or High School Hour of Code to your classroom under the "Lessons" tab. Students now have access to the Hour of Code activities from their account.

  4. Monitor student progress from your lessons tab or gradebook.
